1.) Build as many Double V-hulls as they can because their survivability sux. And stick a weapon systems with more reach and airburst on it.
2,) Wherever we go where don't find any peers in armor vs armor battles, then IEDs are going to be the preferred weapon just as they were in Chechnya in the 90s and every place since then. the playbook is being copied and distributed because although it is a tactical weapon, it has strategic repercussions. SO....keep plenty of MRAPs in storage because we will be needing them
It seems russians trying to train new generation of armor vehicles engineers by allowing them to develop fancy new vehicles, in the same fashion like they did with PAK FA. And they have succeeded with PAK FA. Young russian engineers actually have created modern 5th gen fighter plane, that can actually take off from ground, its a good beginning, but its hard to replace soviet genius that have created T-72, Su-27, MiG-29.
